  • Where are my resources?

After installing the patch, I've made about 6 games so far...on warlord
and not one of my starting cities has had any resources...any.

I was playing on civ 1.52, and I'd usually get about 2-3 resources per city, on a warlord temperate archipelago, my usual gamestyle.

Have the resources been severely toned down? Can I get them back? (I miss them so...)
The game just seems more interesting with them, and its...well, an entirely different method of play.

New Update on my same problem...

I went to add a resource in the editor, I could see it listed in the bottom left as part of the tile's description, but was unable to actually "see" it on the map....
Aside from that, there still seems to be a paucity of resources, as not many tiles show resources...in fact, I've only seen one in all the games I started...

I play either Prince or Monarch on 1.61 and have no problem getting resources. By the end of the game, I usually have at least four in my first city. I also have all types of resources by the end of the game. What level are you playing on, maybe that is the problem.

        Warlord, typically.
The thing is, though, I can't even see the resources, once they are there.

        I've got a radeon x200 video card...

Click the button that labels your resources then. Maybe you have more than you think.

I'd re-download and reinstall the patch and see if that fixes it, as this is almost certainly due to a corrupt download. If that doesn't, reinstall the entire game and then re-patch.

I had to reinstall the game twice before my video card would kick in.

              Maybe that'd help.

I haven't had this problem. I also don't believe the resource frequency was adjusted in any of the patches. Something else is going on here, I think. Yeah, try re-installs.
