I've recently won a game as Ceaser. After finishing my conquests in about 1850 decided to start settling down for a diplomatic victory. I plenty of votes to pass the resolutions. Once the game started getting boring I decided to alow a vote for the diplomatic victory. I didn't have the votes to win myself but I had enough to stop anyone else from getting it. It went just as I expected: I voted for myself, Mansa Musa voted for himself, Gandi voted for me, and Hayna Capac abstained. The stange thing is that Gandi and Mansa Musa had a defensive pact. Anyway I ended getting ranked at Augutus Ceaser. Pretty good for my a weak mans conquest and my first win.

Actually, it's fine in Civ4, and Civ2 for that matter.

I enjoy the space race and almost always win that way, but this game I could win in many different ways as I was so far ahead in all aspects, so I chose the diplomatic win as a quick way to finish off a game that was getting boring, certainly was not a weak win, and the space race generally is the most interesting win, just crushing enemies gets boring.
