Does this game freeze all the time for anyone else. My comp meets the recommended requirements for the game and I've downloaded the patches, I've even lower graphics settings but it still does it seemingly randomly. Sometimes I can play 30 turns into a game sometimes 1 or 2.

Yes, the same thing happens to me, I'm afraid.
While the recommended graphics will make the game run well, it isn't perfect.
Try changing the screen resolution if it isn't on the lowest possible, turn on "single unit animation (THIS HELPS ALOT)" run a virus scan, uninstall junk on your computer, free up space wherever you can, and it might help a bit.
The only way to make the game run seemlessly is to have a very high-tech graphics card and RAM, and the computers that have them are expensive *COUGHalienwareCOUGHCOUGH*.
Usually the game freezes when you are in an epic game with 20 civs, and your computer might just not be able to take that much happening at once. Try playing smaller games, and you should be fine.

There are some memory issues with this game.
It's always a good idea to close the game down every now and then. It has really helped when playing MP.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
