Lets Count The Cash

Currently trying to win my first emperor game and since cash is a very important aspect of the game (if not THE most important) i would like to find out what is the maximum other players have ever reached in 1)raw commerce and 2)research.
As far as i can remember my personal best is with Catherine...
Raw commerce: a few coins above 1000
Research: a few beakers above 3000
At 80% research with a positive income per turn

I've had a single city bring in over 500 gold/turn... without Wallstreet.

The maximum empire-wide total is going to depend nearly entirely on the map size.

Gold not commerce right?...with nested priest specialists or sth...My record is on a standard sized map..what is the empire-wide commerce value you usually achieve in your games?

On a 160X100 map I had 4100 or so coins per turn once (set to 0% Reashearch and Drama) but that was with a really good starting situation, and a fairly lucky game over all, on Noble.
