I noticed after the patch to civ 4 that the movie files weren't playing with a message to the effect of "movie files not installed properly." his, in it's self, didn't bother me since I skipped them anyway
however, alot of games I've had installed for a long time suddenly weren't working at all!
(I relize this isn't a general help forum, but I think these are related to my civ oddity)
rome:total war's videos won't load similar to civ 4, and the menu screen's mouse leaves a trail of copies. loading a game is impossible.
civ 4 mostly still works, but since these games appear to be having similar problems (and total war's website wants me to install flash whatever 8 so more ads can fly accross my screen) I chose to come to you guys and beg for aid
the only things I can remember changing recently are:
updating my video drivers a few weeks ago (nvida 6800gt)
installing ac3 codec (I believe it is)
If I'm in the wrong place for such a question, and you have an idea where I should be I hope you'll tell me if nothing else
thanks in advance!
