Map size does have some effect on scoring, since you get points for the proportion of land tiles you own to total land tiles, the latter value being potentially higher on larger maps. But this is not necessarily the case: I can give no figures, as I can't play maps larger than Standard, but a Huge map set for Islands and High sea level could well have less land than a Pangaea on a smaller map. However, the scoring formula takes no direct account of the map size, nor of the type of victory or the number of opponents. Daft, but that's how it is.
