Only plays for ten turns

Hi this is problably a nooby question but for some reason no matter what kind of game i play it only lets me play for 10 turns? Did i hit a bad button or something? Is there a way that i can change it? I am using the 1.61 patch. Thanks

Same problem here. Bug? I am using the nocd patch, as I hate having to track down the cd every time I want to play for a few turns.

This is caused by a flaw i nthe 1.61 nocd patch. Also causes resources to not be visible. You should use the original civ 4 file executable.

Some of the "hacked" civilizationiv.exe files available on the internet will allow you to run the game without a CD or DVD in the drive. The "10 turn limit" and the "invisible resources" symptoms are due to the use of these files, in all the cases I've seen so far.

or just take the 10 seconds to put the cd in the drive

If you're using a crack and are experiencing problems because of that, don't expect to get help with cracked versions here. I understand not wanting to put the CD in the drive, but that's against the rules here, hence, closed.
