""Far from being a permanent arrangement, the vassal state relationship comes up for reconsideration and renewal by both parties every ten turns. Vassal states still count as your territory for domination victories but they still retain some political independence

Every 10 turns! Good idea/bad idea?

Interesting. But "all around your cultural borders?" Will barbarians not be able to cross at all? Seems too powerful.

How's that too powerful? A couple of strategically placed units all but stop any threat from the Barbs, and building a couple of units sure is cheaper than a Wonder.

Besides, what the article means is that the wall, when built, is built all around your borders. But the borders keep expanding...

"Additionally, units stacked with a Great General gain a one time experience boost." - hmmm i wonder if thats really a good idea... - seems like a bit too tedious. I mean i dont wanna bring every single unit of mine to general, just to stack it and gain the experience boost... but the buddy i play against might do so and thus make me wait and force me to do the same...

Or does it mean "every unit that gets attached to a great general permanently will get a one time experience boost" ? Now that would be a bit dfferent then...

Please no SMAC-obeliscs - that would suck a lot !

I believe that if you stack a unit with a great general, then the general is gone, so you can only do it once (for each GG)

I call it (sorta, at the bottom of page) :

                  Thread :
Heres a thought. How about a "charismatic" trait? This would basecily be a propaganda trait, where your people would be more happy, have less war unhappyness, and it would be harder for your cities to flip. With this trait, I think Hitler could be in the game.
                  IGN:

is able to gain an additional two happiness in each city as well as a 25% reduction in the cost of unit promotions

Too powerful, I guess, on any large map with raging barbs - plonk down some cities, build the wall, and let the barbs take care of the AIs while you turtle. Probably worthless on any other map.

                    Not a good wonder, IMO.

Well, you'll have to trust the Warlords testers to ensure that it's well balanced .

The Charismatic and Imperialistic traits both sound very good; however, the Protective trait sounds weak. I hope that the one time experience boost provided by warlords work is a permanent boost as long as the unit is close by the warlord (either the same tile or even an adjacent one), and it's not an SMAC like obelisk boost like Unimatrix11 described. Also will the modern age get any improvements? I'm hoping for at least paratroopers, if not a few more modern unit types.

                          Protective does sound weak.

Which leader is currently Aggressive/Expansive? Since Shaka is getting these, s/he might have one trait switched to Imperialistic.

                            Genghis Khan.

I bet Victoria gets Expansive changed to Imperialistic, among other changes in some of the current leaders.

Protective? Drill I and II? That means with 5exp a unit can have Drill IV. Drill I&II are weak, but III and IV are really quite strong. Especially on defense. Combat does next to nothing on top of 60% city defenses, but drill stacks great with defense bonuses.

I've had Drill IV longbows in always war games. Those things can mow down half a dozen attackers without pause.
