Mao xml dipo file giltch

Whenever I start or load a game, I get a popup telling me I don't have Mao's dipo files. 1 thing I noticed is that this happens wherther or not he's in the game, and some other civs use his dipo lines (ie both Caeser and Toga offered me a copy of a little red book), or it just shows up as lines of code. I have 1.62 patch, and no mods (aside from the blue marble terrian mod)

I wonder if this has anything to do with something I noticed in the Civ5LeaderHeadInfos.xml file recently. All the sections start with something like this...

All the < and > have been replaced with ( and ) in these examples.

Anyway, Mao appears to be the only leader like this, maybe some parts of the code are referring to him by name when it should be LEADER_CHINESE_LEADER.

I just verified. I searched Civ4DiplomacyInfos.xml and there are no references to LEADER_MAO_ZEDONG, only LEADER_CHINESE_LEADER. There's the cause of your glitch.

did you have this problem? Did anyone else for that matter had this problem. I'll look at it after school (lunch now)

Did you people know that Mao loved bananas? That's right, he had a specially picked type of Colombian bananas delivered to him around the year (in fact, around the clock!). Imagine seeing the great leader of mighty China sitting before his subjects, eating bananas and discussing world politics. Must've been some sight.

I noticed some of these same things. The "Three Gorges Dam" had been renamed Building_Great_Dam in one of the xml files which conflicted with the others. It's late--but I'll try to be as specific as I can, and while inebriated: communism in the 'pedia was initially represented in-game (thanks to an xml conflict between class and one of the xml links defining class therein) as TXT_KEY_TECH_UTOPIA; forbidden palace as TXT_KEY_BUILDING_GREAT_PALACE; and Mao Zedong as CHINESE_LEADER. These all represent conflicts (or at least variants) from the previous xml files. At least, in my case.
