I wasn´t really trolling. And you added "Late does it come, but..." to your post above. Didn´t you? Did you feel that the post was a wee bit too positive and needed this addition?

Question: I’ve made tweaks to the XML files (map size, Barb units, etc.) but saved the original files and placed them somewhere else for safe keeping. Do I need to swap the original files back in before downloading the patch, or will the patch replace them with new files saving me the work?

I finished a game just last night, so I am unconcerned about Save Games.

Since I was complaining elsewhere that it's late (a fact which is established with a broad consensus here and elsewhere), yes, for consistency's sake. Else one could think I am changing my opinion on every new circumstance.

By the way I can't install it. Refuses and says wrong version installed. Got to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall it clean.

The SDK largely compiles, I get 1 error and 615 warnings. Firaxis using deprecated functions, how reactionary... (There you have your complaint Zoid )

The error says "error C2665: 'boost::python::detail::make_getter' : none of the 3 overloads could convert all the argument types" - I'll check what that is.

Ok on the pbem front, I have loaded the patch, played a previously setup game and forwarded it to McMeadows. This all played fine on my system. It crashed on his as he was unpatched (deliberatly.) awaiting results of when he attempts with patch...

I downloaded from the link in the first post. It seems I didn't download the SDK and PitBoss.Is that?
And (as I keep knowing nothing of computers)must I do it?
And about my current games (SP) may I keep playing them?

Of what significance is: "Horseback Riding is now a Classical tech"? I don't recall any heated discussions on this. Does this mean that the music changes or begins when you discover horsey back riding?

It's mostly for MP. If you start a MP game in the Classical Age, that has a difference.
