After months of discussing game settings, the Constitution and waiting for the patch, the Civ4 Single Player Democracy Game (Civ4 SPDG) is about to get underway
In case you`re not familiar with the concept: a Democracy Game is a game that`s not played by a single player but by the whole community. A President is elected who actually plays the game but the entire community is involved in discussions and votes to decide what actions the president should take. For details on this, see the FAQ that has been started for the Civ4 SPDG.
The Civ4 SPDG will start as soon as the new Civ4 patch is released, which is expected very soon. To be able to get going as fast as possible when that happens, the Constitution is currently being voted on. If you want to join in on this vote, visit the Civ4 SPDG forum and vote in the topped polls. At the same time, nominations for the first round of elections have begun. At the time of writing there were still 4 government posts for which noone had been nominated yet. If you want to join in and want to become a Minister or Judge for this DG, now is the time to nominate yourself! The actual elections will start 4 days from now.
If you want to play in this DG, whether as President, Minister, Judge or just Citizen, make sure you join the CivGroup and report to the Citizens Registry. Then visit the forum and start participating in the discussions and votes. Welcome to the game!
