  • Find city by name - how?

How can I find the location of a city by its name?

I'm aware of the sortable city list (F2). And although I'm able to set up the build list at the bottom of the screen, often (especially in late games) I'm unable to jump to the city, so that I'm unable to determine where it is (and where to send my units to).

So again: Is there a possibility to enter the name of a city so that I get the information about the location?

If you have a city selected in your F2 list, it's pinpoint will twinkle in the minimap. It's the best solution I've found yet to do this.

I believe he is talking about the Shift-L from Civ3. Where it brings up a list of ALL cities by ALL civ's.

One way around that is that you can open the event log and click on the city name when it reports an event.

There seem to have been several useful hot-key's left out of Civ4 that I used a lot in Civ3.
