Lately, I've been giving 2 drill promotions out of the gate and they seem to be as (if not more) effective than barrage units. Survivability has increased and even if overall collateral is decreased. It seems to cause more damage to one unit at the expense of the additional bit of collateral on the others.
I think this may be more effective, since collateral only reduces the units to 1/2 strength max. By attacking with a straonger unit, you are hypothetically causing more damage to the main defender and minimally less collateral. Agreed?
