Unfortunately I don'tknow excatly how those numbers work, so you'll have to play around with them. I made minor change to stone, as I think it is far to rare, had several starts with 1 or 2 to 6-7 civs. I changed <iConstAppearance> from 50 to 500 and the rands from 25 to 50. Not sure witch of the changes did the trick, but now there is around twice as much stone as before.

In my games I have not noticed that sugar has been any more uncommon than any other resource around but then again I have not really paid any attention to that so I cannot say this is a fact.
What I do know, however, is that sugar is horrible to spot on the map because it looks so much like jungle. There are instances were I have failed to build plantations on sugar-squares simply because I have not seen it's there.Last edited by Saurus; March 3, 2006, 06:47.GOWIEHOWIE! Uh...does that

changes
Hello again,
i have made some changes to the code of civ4bonusinfos.xml
it seems that we all having bad luck some times!in contract with the friend from Denmark,i m finding plenty of dyes in almost every games, even on small size, archipelago map, with high seas level.!
i have increased the rate from 50 to 500,and the rand app from 25 to 50.
and then i have played a new game, standard size with 5 continents, climate tropical.
still,havent found sugar again!
i would agree with the guy from Finland that is a little difficult to spot sugar in the jungle, but another and more efficient way to find this is when you trade for it.
so,any of you have an idea about how the rest lines or the same percentages i have change can effect more frequently the appearence of sugar?
and how can i post an attachment with the bonusfiles.xml here?

I don't miss sugar.
You can live without sugar but not salt. Historically, untold riches were accumlated by trading salt - and there's no salt in Civ 4.(\__/) 07/07/1937 - Never forget

Here is another screenshot:
Unfortunately your lack of sugar seems to be some sort of freak error, that doesn't apear in my games, so I have no way of making a usefull civ4bonusinfos.xml for you.
What I would do if I had that problem was reinstall Civ4 including any mods. If that doesn't help Activision should take a look at this.Visit my CTP-page and get TileEdit and a few other CTP related programs.

To display the resources just press <CTRL>+R or click the questionmark above the minimap. As to the code, I used the file you posted, without changing anything.Visit my CTP-page and get TileEdit and a few other CTP related programs.
