Yes I have. Is that so amazing? Most people think it looks too big and clumsy.
Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God.-Isaiah 41:10

Anybody who thinks Civ4 couldn't have been programmed better is foolish, though anyone who thinks that it could have been done so much better that people could get it to run on todays cellphones with the same graphics and such as on todays desktops with decent speed are twice as foolish.

Most programs are not efficient today, full stop. The only exceptions are those for embedded controllers (cameras in particular).

That's because the hardware is very fast, so there's no need to write efficient programs. For example, Java is unthinkable 10 years ago. Not that long ago in the past Apple made a computer called the Apple III, and it used UCSD Pascal. Now, Java is a lot like UCSD Pascal in the sense that they both compile to an intermediate format (bytecode), which is interpreted when the programs run.

The main reason why Java works and UCSD Pascal didn't is the difference in processor speed.

Civ $ will never go mobile. Congress or the UN will pass a law protecting us all from such risky behaviour. I will write Hillary immediately so she can get a jump on this.

By the way, I just noticed that Civ 3 for mobile phones is... 97kb.

            Let me verbatim: ninetyseven kilobytes

              3 or 2?

Either way, it shows that it is possible to squeeze a lot of program into a small space.

It says so on the web page of my phone service provider, where you can buy it for ~2.5 euros. Don't know where you can get it for free (and if).
