Thanks for the tip. I should obviously read the manual more often The reason I don't do that much is that I feel the manual is very vague and don't go into details.
And in most cases, it is the details I need.

This is a good example again. There is a statement in the manual that the shrines indeed spread religion ... but it is not mentioned what this formulae is.
