    Civilization IV has won two Readers Choice awards at Wargamer.com, a longtime website devoted to Wargames.

    Civilization IV won for best strategy game

          Civ4 deserves these awards and then some.

          I think the number of hours I've spent playing it is now well into the hundreds. And I've only just started getting used to it ....

                            If I had posted all of the gripes I had with Civilization III, I'd be halfway to King, if not Emperor, by now. But I grumbled in silence and just nodded thoughfully without reply.

                            Civ IV really does live up to the promise of a sequel to Civ II. Civ III isn't as bad as, say, MOO III (shudder), but it was a letdown.

                              Indeed did it lack the little extra that made Civ1/2, and now 4, great. It was a letdown in that respect. But still it was an okay game, and many civvers got to know Civ as a great franchise through Civ3.
