What difficulty level is the toughest you've won a game on?

I just started my first game on Prince last night, until now I have only been playing on Noble
Ok, I did start a different game on Prince earlier, but I decided to restart because of a bad start, then I forgot to set the level

I voted Emperor, altough I have won a Diety duel (I think it was a Diety OCC duel). Duels are a bit too contrived to count though (IMO).

I reckon I could win on Emperor but I'd need to concentrate on winning far more than having fun while winning. Monarch for me.

I'm playing emperor but didn't win so far.
I have won on Monarch though.

As soon as I've won an Emperor game I'll proceed to Immortal. I've never won a civ3 Deity game, but I do really want to win a civ4 deity game
I won on civ1 emperor and civ2 deity as well

I only play at Noble, although I have edited the HandicapInfo.xml so Noble has a few of the Monarch attributes (mainly barbarian related).

I am unstoppable on the Banana level! But have failed to finish a single game on any other level (win or loss). Maybe I shouldn't be playing Marathon/Huge/Terra games...

You'll be in for long wait then. Civ4 deity is a lot harder than the Civ3 one.

I can beat monarch but haven't tried emperor yet. Though I've played a couple of games recently, so I should be up to the task.

I have to play on favorable maps (pangea or archipelago) to win at Monarch level. Civ IV is much tougher.

Pangaea is a favorable map? I thought that AI civs are inherintly harder in a more land-based environment.

Pangea is favourable for domination and conquest wins but harder for culture and space I'd say.
