I have to admit to being no fan of the Pyramids since they are so expensive. Even with stone you are effectively shutting down one city while it gets it finished. In that time the barbs will certainly come along so your other city will have to should the burden of building your defensive units against the enemy axemen.

The other problem with pyramids is that they give you a Great Engineer points which are of no great value to an industrious civilisation. Better to get the prophets, scientists and merchants that better complement the traits.

GE points aren't exactly of no value to an Ind leader. They can be very useful for, say, rushing a Wonder that you want to build but don't want to generate GPP in your GPP cities from. (Yes, Parthenon, I'm looking at you.)
Participating in my threads is mandatory. Those who do not do so will be forced, in their next game, to play a power directly between Catherine and Montezuma.

I actually quite like Roosevelt. He's a good "try to do everything" leader. The traits do not have the synergy of some others (Toku is a good example), but he does several things pretty well (as opposed to one or two things really well).

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.
