  • Leader's Fav Civic

The manual say each leader has a favourite civic. Does it do anything extra to adopt that civic? Or is it just a guide that tells you that the civic best matches the leader's traits?

A leaders favorite civic is there to give you a diplo bonus if you run the same civic... Often its as good as a religion bonus, some even better. Roosevelt puts little stock in religion, but boy does he love his fellow democrats!~

Also, from time to time an AI leader will contact you and ask you to adopt a civic. You'll gain a +1 if you do, and a -1 if you refuse. Spiritual civs can be sneaky with this by adopting the civic for the diplomatic bonus and immediately afterwards switch back to what they were running before.
Age and treachery will defeat youth and skill every time.
