Nothing more cheery than exposing the fog of war with your (6 axemen) stack of doom to see a dozen barb axemen wandering through the hills to your capital.
So, by the time you're done rebuilding your terrain after the barbs, ahh, explore it... you get to see Monty knocking at your door with his stupid UU and a dozen horsies.
