  • Has a Civ ever been willing to give up a base?

In every one of my games, the AI never wants to give up a base. Not that I'd typically want them*, but it seems weird.

Maybe this was a reaction to the whole "offer Morgan 4 creds a year and he'd give you Morgan Megagodliness"?

    * Unless, of course, the occasional "Toku made a base about a billion miles away from the rest of his, just to score the 3 things of Ivory near me".
    It's a CB.

they do in my games.... Not "Core" cities or cities with strategic purposes (resources), but i've often been able to trade cities.

Not just from defeating enemies, but also from a civ that i had a perm alliance with.

      Easy pickings for cultural flips.

Cultural flips are best used against stupid civs who build a city on the tiles of hinterland on your continent or island that you didn't want to colonize.
One day Canada will rule the world, and then we'll all be sorry.

I had a civ give me a city in exchange for a treaty.
Funny thing was, I wasn't even overwhelming him, I had pulled back after taking a couple of cities and was gonna ask for peace anyway.
It was a half decent city too

When you ask for a treaty, NEVER just offer a treaty... ALWAYS ask 'what will it take for a treaty' - the AI will offer what they think is right.
If you are more powerful than them, you can bet they will offer gold (sometimes 100s), or even a city.
