Wow,this took off.
Okay, I now understand the "indirect fire" concept, after having tried out a few pieces. Good stuff, and definately something I've been leaving out.
I ended up winning the space race, although the others were certainly keeping up nicely, even though I had the damn Elevator.
Oh, and yeah, taking Alexander out worked out TEN times better than leaving him in place and trading techs to him for 100 gp. I ended up taking five cities, including his captial, and then took advantage of all of his luxury squares and full cities and villages he'd built up. Lesson learned.
