West Point

What is actually required for West point? I've never been given a chance to build it, and I'm sure I have all of the prerequisite technology.

Also, is there a way to try a game with different difficult, once you've already started it?

Requires: Military Tradition, a unit of level 5 experience

Note that what it means by experience there is not a unit with 5xp but with 5 promotions. It would be 17xp I believe. Basically if you are playing the pacifist role and haven’t been at war with another Civ you won't be able to build West Point. Barbarians only grant up to 10xp which is 3 promotions, to build west point you need 2 more promotions.

The low down is you need to get a unit some extensive combat experience 17+xp, once you hit that marker and get military tradition you can build West Point. Even if the unit dies later or has died before you discovered military tradition.

I guess you could load it as a scenario or something?
