This is my first post on Apolyton, so I'll introduce myself.
I played MOM, MOO, MOO2, MOO3 (not to fond of this one), Civ2, Civ3, and I got Civ4 for Christmas, 2005.
I never managed to win the space race in Civ III, it seemed like I just never could get enough research.
Currently, I am in the process of playing through Civilization IV with each country/leader combination at the chieftan level, to see how they respond. I can't say I'm trying a specific strategy, just pretty much go with the moment.
So far I have won a diplomatic victory with America/Roosevelt (although I dislike the United States being generalized as America), and I've won the Space race with Spain.
I am running an Arabian scenario right now, and am just up to the 1970s with little likliehood of winning other than by time.
I have tried one Warlord scenario (With Spain I think), and have had little luck, I kept getting beat down by barbarians, and then Japan attacked me for no apparent reason. At this point in the game, I've lost my capitol (to Japan), and had it move to my second city, and my second city, grew, but is now on the verge of falling to the Japanese, after fending them off for centuries. I have two other cities that might be able to stave off impending doom, though I'll not count on it. My last hope is a galley with an Archer and a Settler that is fleeing the oncoming army of the Japanese, who have a catapult and a few Elephant Riders (Can't remember the actual unit name right now, and I'm at work).
As far as me, I have an interest in games, particularly TBS and RPG games, not so much the RTS games. I am a Computer Science major at UTSA, and I enjoy writing and programming. I have a web page at http://grreed.home.texas.net or if you prefer more easily remembered names, http://www.falconsgate.com although there you have to deal with banners from register.com. At my web site, I do not support any product or person, it is specifically a personal interest website.
That's it for the introduction.
