Make it stop returning to build something

If I select a buildling by mistake (i dunno, a granary I don't want) then realize after a couple hammers have gone toward it, I can take it out of my queue and put other things into the build order but as soon as it's done building the new things in the list, instead of asking me what to do next it goes back to building the granary i didn't want in the first place. Is there a setting to stop this?

Do you actually take it out from the queue? Just starting to build something new does not remove the old build, only postpones it, and keeps the hammers used, for awhile.

yep, i remove it from the queue so there'll only be whatever thing or two I want in my list but as soon as it finishes the last item in the list, it goes back to the original thing it was building.
