  • Nice start.....

Playing a random civ (and got Frederick the Great) on Prince level, marathon, continents, low sea level, normal sized map, 7 civs, and got a whole nice sized continent to myself, which is very nice...

Edit, just found that the only copper on the continent is right on the other side, made inaccessable by mountains, so perhaps not so nice.

    Anyway, here's the pic:

    Just found a city there.

I just started a game on prince level and got a lousy start (using the Tectonics mod)... I'm placed at the end of a 3 size half-island (is that what it's called? Like what you get from the mace script), so nomatter where I look there's water, but no fish/clam/crab/whatever in it. The land is mostly dessert and with lots of hills (only very few spots to place cottages). The only resources there are in the area are cows, pigs, corn and copper
I didn't manage to found any of the early religions, we're closing in on 1AD, but none of the civs nearby has any religions

This is my first game on prince... what a great start
This space is empty... or is it?

Hah, that's nothing. I see some civs on the tectonics map script start in the middle of ice. Not tundra, ice.

Sounds like the map generator got messed up.
