Problem with starting a game

When I start the game I have to keep clicking the mouse or else it reverts back to windows (The civ4 button is still in the taskbar, when I click on that it goes into the game and if I don't click a few times it will automaticly go back to windows as well). I had this problem before and solved it but I forgot how. Does anyone know I can solve this problem?

The game works just fine when I actually get in.

Your problem appears to be another program is stealing focus away from the game. Most likely suspects are toolbars (such as Google Desktop Sidebar).

Try killing every program in the system tray that you can without causing yourself problems and running it. If that doesn't help, kill everything you can and then run Hijack This! ( http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q...=Google+Search ) then post* the log file it generates here. I'll have a look and see if I can help, but no promises. There'll probably be someone here that knows though.

*If Firewall/antivirus are among the programs you kill, re-enable them/reboot before going online. I'd hate to be responsible for you getting a porn dialler or something!
