Do initially hidden resources (copper, iron, etc) show in the fog of war once you acquire the tech to see them, or must you scout the area once more to detect the resource?

Resources appear in the fog.
They also appear in traded maps, even if the tradee doesn't have the technology to reveal it.
"Just in case it's useful to you, we found some funny glowing green rocks at these co-ordinates."
