How about another option: "I haven't yet played multiplayer" or "I don't play multiplayer?" I guess if that's the case one might not come and vote, but speaking for myself (and my Banana vote) I simply haven't "got around" to playing multiplayer yet. Plus I think I'd get my ass kicked, speaking frankly.

You could always give the others a little bonus (like an ally, or whatever) to make it more challenging...

its adictive, .... good ... and yes game spy sucks,

but now that u can open some ports things are getting gody ....

and its much better then single,....

its never about spaceship,.... beacuse there is no time,,.... to get you there,.... I just love that, I hate this spaceship programs even in earlier versions of CIV (u can not win others by defould you just have to play for spacehisp in early versions u could win by conquest or domination or diplomatic, but now only ****ing space RACE,.... so i really wonder who tha fuick is the main sponsor here is it NASA or what,....),.... and just yesterday i lost one in a single one so i am angry a litle bit, so i am gona play only advance with no spaceship or multi,....

but in multi, there is a problem when beginners play and u just have to teach them (if team against team) or u will loose the game,.... so if multi only prince or monarch and FFA) ........ multi is ****ing crazy if problems with peers u can play IP its multi gody.

I was actually thinking of a Warcraft 3 game I was playing earlier.
The game was "First to 400 kills, but if something kills you you're out".
I was at my 180th kill when everyone else died around their 100th.
Possibly because Bnet is full of no-skill '*****, I guess, but that doesn't explain anything.

Normally you'd think being naturally skilled at strategy games would make those games more fun - but it's confusing and annoying when something that seems simple to you is beyond the power of others, and it becomes a problem when you rely on the skill of others to give you a challenge and you're just left with an easy, empty victory.
Then, if you play a new game, it's frustrating because the veterans kick your ass!

This is the problem of the elitist: You're either too damn good or not good enough.

ditto for me. I'm still having trouble with the AI. I can't imagine how bad humans would pwn me.

Well, I play Monarch and they play Noble. Also, we normally agree not to attack one another and have to get our victories according to a random generator, cultural, diplomatic or space. It's quite cool, a change from single player and it means the differences in ability aren't that important.

How are PBEM's played? Can the e-mails be sent in game? my brother wants to play a game. Though he really isn't big on playing the beginning turns on email where you don't do much in the beginning except hit end turn. Is there a way to play a multiplayer game like regular, and then save and exit and play it as a PBEM?
