The Hanging Garden movie locks me up when it play so my way around it is to simply hit the Esc button as soon as it appears.

Another example of video memory leakage IMHO.

Oh; that is with 1.52 on a P4/2gig and did not have problems before.

If this is indeed video memory leakage, then why aren't other people having this problem? With a computer like yours, you're unlikely to have a seriously under-powered video card compared to others.

I have also found that running a GAM Recovery/Defrag program in the background all the time helps especially when I use Huge, Titan or Imposible maps.

Does Civ 4 know how to cope with RAM recovery? Wouldn't it just make every single thing loaded into memory go solid-black or solid-white?
