Boat causes game to crash

Or more accurately the contents of it.

Background: I'm playing as the Japanese and recently started a war against the Americans. They have one galleon moving with some troops and a settler and I attack them with my two galleons just done with dropping troops of in their lands. Game crashes.

So I re-load and avoid attacking the boat, follow them for five turns and then they arrive at their destination and unloads the troops. Game crashes again.

I have play through the game twice already and also have run it on more than one system/computer. The error is the same an appears at the same place.

So, anyone know of anyway to work around this problem or maybe what is causing it?

Go into the world builder and delete the unit/s?

That would be my guess as well.

I'd also send the saved game to Firaxis (or post it here), so that someone can find out some more specific information about what's happening
