1.52 - terrible graphics bug

I've got a terrible graphics bug - don't know how to call it.
It appears every time i load or start a game - here are some examples how it looks.








What I tried:

a.) Reboot Windows
b.) Reinstall Civilisation
c.) Reinstall Graphic Drivers (installing the newest)

It didn't help.

My system: Athlon 64 3000+ Radeon 9800 SE, 1024 DDRam, Windows XP SP2

I had my system running civ wonderfully, but when i got the patch the game tells me i dont meet graphics recomendations and i get alot of slowdown and graphical errors (nothin compared to this tho) but i am pissed!

I get reasonably similar problems, they showed up half way through a game and haven't left since.

I've got a GeForce FX 5500, with the newest drivers.

After many hours of trying und trying i maneged to find something. Try to reduce the AGP speed to 4x from 8x (at last that's what i did, and it worked), i don't know where you can find this setting on GeForce, but you'll find it somehow, i hope.
