Civ4 not only won GOTY at GameSpy, but also IGN, which I honestly respect far more (although GOTY at GS surprises me a bit).

To tell the truth, I had forgotten that Guild Wars would be a contender this year for GOTY. For CIV to beat GW is, to say the very least, quite a notable achievement!
Way to go, Firaxis! Now, back to work fixing bugs!

Guild wars sucks.
Its design theory is good, but it has some notable flaws - and Guild Wars' servers frequently lag.
While the same can be said of Civ4, Civ4 is a lot less buggy.
Call of Duty 2 should have won, in my opinion.Comment
