Hello together!
I want to play CIV4 on my ASUS W3N notebook (2GHz CPU, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, ATI Mobility Radeon 9600). The recent Civ-patch (1.09) is installed, further recent hardware drivers and updates for my system (running XP with SP2).
My observations: The game hangs up, crashed to desktop, the system reboots - sometimes after 2 minutes while loading or beginning a game, sometimes after 2 hours of playing. Sometimes the game causes several crashes within a few minutes.
I've no clue what could cause such a behaviour. The system is normally running smooth and without any problems.
The system temperatures are:
idle - 50° C
Office, Internet - 55° C
Civ4 - at least 65°C, most often 70° or higher
Any ideas?
