  • What is really missing with UN...

Is the proper inteface, for flavor sake.

What needs to be done (XP idea) is to add UN hall, with all animated leaders shown, with voting done right there. For music, UN victory tune mp3 should be good enough.

    Anybody played SMAC or MOO1/2???

    P.S.
Does Civ4 Python supports adding new interfaces, or redesigning existing ones only?

With the Python, you could conveivably create completely new advisors if you please . You could create a UN council interface, but I think not redirect the actual UN to it - need the SDK for it.

Yep, that would definitely be cool. Especially if the leader faces changed animations based on votes going for/against them.

Yeah, that'd be nice but I always dream of the SMAC U.N. coming back in a future Civ game, it is just so cool and so fun and so freakin' awesome, mmm I miss it so much.

I mean the ability to bribe a swing vote during the election, how cool is that. Man, I don't even remeber half of the cool stuff in the SMAC U.N. type system, I can't believe no one has just copied it into another TBS game.

Mmm, SMAC and MoO2, I wish they made more games like those...

          Hmm...
What about replacing existing "yes/no" one?

Anyway, it's good idea for expansion to look at.

I think that the country that is elected UN leader should get 50 gold per turn from bribes and corruption.

That would make getting the UN Overpowered. Fun, but overpowered

BTW, Assets\Python\Screens\CvUNVictoryScreen.py has code for drawing that screen with leadheads and stuff...

Extra points if the leader takes off his shoe and bangs it on the table.

What we really need is the ability to create some cool 'food for oil' scandals where the UN Secretary-General can make himself really rich at the expense of the other civs.
