DSetup DLL Error

I am having trouble installing Civ 4.

I bought online and downloaded the file and when I install, I get an error message like this:

Error Number 0x80040702
Description: Failed to load DLL: DSETUP
Setup will now terminate


Can anyone help?

When you download the file, is there a checksum that you can compare against, to verify the integrity of the file?

This is not important when you download small files, but for big files, esp. for something you need to pay, it is paramount to ensure that the downloads aren't corrupted or incorrect.
