  • Movies skipping? Try this fix

I'm pretty sure it was posted here as I found it in a thread here or at Fantatics but this worked perfectly for me and I still see threads on this.

First I'll say that other then skipping movies I've had no other technical problems with the game.

    Anyway, try this:
Turn off anti-aliasing in the game.
    Exit the game.
Configure your video card to run anti-aliasing itself.
Restart the game with the shift key down which clears the cache (obviously the patch is needed here)

That's it. For me the wonder movies now play perfectly *and* I've noticed yet another speed increase in the game as a whole, probably because the hardware is now doing the AA.

I have an ATI 9800 Pro 128 meg and set the AA to 4x.
Other specs: 2.8 ghz P4, 1 gig RAM.

So give this a try and see if it works for you. Can't hurt and you can always set things back the way they were.

be aware that this makes your video card hotter and most cards aren't very well chilled to begin with.

When you restart the game to clear the cache.... HOW LONG do I have to sit there holding down the shift-key?

I always do it until I can read that it is loading uncached...right before it starts the movies.

I just find the cache and delete it manually heh.
