  • Need help on towns

    Hello,
I am new to Civ4 and having a few issues.

How can I destroy my own town? I have a town that is way to close to another and I just want to move it. Destroy it and build a new one close by?

In Civ3 you can “move” (as far as I can remember) your town population into adjacent towns: is that no longer possible?

In the town window: can I destroy city improvements? How do I do it.

My computer is does not fit the Minimum requirement (beggars can’t be choosers): It seems to crash when I discover a new technology and I finish a wonder at the same turn.. it crashes when the movie begins to play. When I reload the game and I make sure that they do not finish at the same time its ok. I turn off the movies from now and everything is fine. I read the posts on the movies I thought I just add this in.

    Thanks

There are mods that allow you to do this. Otherwise, the only manner is to gift the city to a country you are about to declare war on and subsequently raze the city. This is not good for gameplay, since it permanently damages relations with someone (and might cost you a unit or two). Destroying buildings doesn't seem possible without the mod. Its generally not necessary anyway. Only reason I could think of is religious buildings of a rival religion. .but since they still add to your own city anyway, just go conquer the holy city.
Every man should have a college education in order to show him how little the thing is really worth.
