Civ 4 jumps into newgame

When I boot up Civ4, my game will jump straight into a new game, and completely skip the menu section.

I have no idea what's going on, as I did not attempt to play Civ4 before the patch was released (ATI driver conflict thingy).

I'm thinking what I need is a working Civ4 1.09 exe, since the patcher told me my exe was weird (but had an ignore button).

I tried reinstalling and then patching, but that didn't work either.
