Faster Forest Growth Post-Patch?

It seems to me that it is. Has anyone else noticed this?

The last two games I have started have had forest growth near my capital while I have only one or two cities. Before the patch I don't know that I ever had any growth nearby.

Both forests and jungles seem to grow more often now post patch.

seems like it, I can't tell yet though, I've only played 1 game at ver 1.09...and I had 3 or 4 forest grows in the game...
