    Bug with The Oracle

    I am not sure if this has been reported or not, but a quick glance didn't reveal anything on this particular bug.

    I built the Oracle and used it to gain Philosophy. Yet the game failed to grant me Taoism.

    What's worse is, I can't even research it now...

    I presume the same bug affects all the advancements wrt founding of religions.

    Has worked fine for me.. in fact, it's been improved as of the 1.09 patch. Before the patch, I would gain the religion on the turn after finishing the oracle and selecting the technology. As of 1.09, I gain the religion immediately.

    Are you sure another civ didn't already have Taoism? Press F7 and check.
    If you're not a rebel at 20 you have no heart. If you're still a rebel at 30 you have no brain.

      You are right.

      I got it the turn after, temporarily causing me to mistake it for a bug.

      Nevermind then, nothing to see here.
