Problems rendering 3d gaphics.

Good Day! I have read that there are loads of problems with Civ 4 and just my luck I am having one as well. I am not really having any problems running the game it runs and works fine without bogging down. the problem I am having is that it isnt fully rendering all the 3d graphics I suppose. It doesnt fully load the 3d Leaderheads I can just see eyes a mouth and some clothing on the background and all of the terrain except for the trees adn rivers are black. Even after I have explored them. I hav e a 2.66 ghz Pentium for with 1.5 gb memory 124 mb video ram on an ATI radeon 7800 ( I think). Does anyone know what the problem may be?

I hear the 1.09 patch solved that, or do you already have it installed?

I downloaded and installed that and it fixed the problem with teh leader heads. However I am still having black terrain. Any ideas on that?
