I've played two games so far, on warlord and prince. The funny thing is that I've given up on both of them during the late renn period, so I haven't actually seen the industrial or modern era yet.
In my latest game, my French empire is dominating a balanced standard map, having pruned or conquered half of my opponents. I've had some fun wars and some fun races to wonders, but at this point I've got a couple of 20+ Cav/Can/Rifle stacks who are set to steamroll most of the rest of the continent, and I've played enough Civ to be reasonably sure that I'm going to win this one even if I mess up and lose half of my army in some Incan jungle.
Does anyone else do this? I'm enjoying CIV 4 and am very much looking forward to starting again at Prince, but at this point I just don't have 6 hours of my life to throw at a mop-up exercise.
