      Exactly.

I always liked shields, but have adapted to hammers. They make more sense, but shields were so pretty. Discovering a nice stretch of shielded grassland to settle down upon was always a great feeling.

I consider them to be "Production". I will say that a tile has 6 Production (Mined Plains Iron ... mmmmm ...) rather than Hammers or Shields.

            That's criminally rational.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Beat me to it. I used to think shields, but now its changed icon its easier to say production and be understood whichever civ version you're talking about.

i only speak in on-fifths of anvils, aka. pent-anvil
for food in fifths of toastbread loafs

nah, honestly, hammers do make more sence. and sirian's "hammer-time" quote (in his interview) was great

and last... i often get hammered, but never shielded

Are we allowed to like hammers, but not anvils?

I loaf about from time to time, so I'm cool with that
