  • Centering World Map?

What is the practical consequence of centering the World Map (which the Stonhenge and the Calendar do)?
The difference between industrial society and information society:
In an industrial society you take a shower when you have come home from work.
In an information society you take a shower before leaving for work.

When you start the map is zoomed in to your area, I assume because you only know about your own civ at that point. When you build stonehenge or research calendar it makes it so you see the whole map and your position relative to the world.

You get a better feeling of which way to explore so that you dont head straight for the polar icecaps?

I have considered disabling this feature, it's more fun not to know how large* the world is, until you actually discover the world

        * And in case you don't know: Random map size means the maps are ALWAYS duel size
This space is empty... or is it?
