  • Blue mod!!!! Play smoother than before

    Hey guy's!!

For people who have trouble to have the game run smooth on the later ages.

Try Blue mod... On modern day it play the game smoother than before, with beautiful graphics.

Why another graphics mod can help to improve the game speed?

    Here my two cents:
I've read somewhere that the texture used for the games are pretty bigs maybe these textures(blue mod) are less detailed... or something like this.
I can't confirm this, since I dont want to uninstall the mod and looking into photoshop...

I was supposed to study this day..... But i'm craving to play civ4!!!
    ****ty self desire....

    See ya,
    Here the link:

    Thanks...

Well, should I just unzip the files into the mods diretory? And then choose it, like a normal mod?
Sorry to ask such a dumb question...

Unzip it, you'll going to see a .EXE, run it. It's an installation file, with this .EXE you can install it or uninstall the mod. Do no fear to mess with your files by installing this mod, uninstalling the mod is pretty easy and fast.
(I've test it, to see if it was really run the game smoother)

      see ya
      Edit: Post me your results.

I installed it, but does it only affect the globe view? in game seems very minor...

I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

A number of people are reporting increased performance using this mod; here is the fairly long thread over on CivFanatics talking about this and other things regarding this mod:

                            blue marble mod

I am using it but have not seen any noticable performance increase; however, my system never had any real issues with the game in the first place.

Also note that Coldfever has another program that you can download that lets you change the unit size, among other things, using a set of easy-to-use sliders. This is a really nifty program, too.
