Pomotions: -1 movement costs

I was wondered what the promotion -1 movements costs do for War Elephants? I never took it because it seemed senseless for them, but maybe I am wrong?

It is. Promotions are given to certain groups of units like e.g. can be seen on the tech tree poster. War elephants are mounted units, they can get the promotion. They can't use it, though, as they are the only mounted units with movement=1. The only reason I see in taking it is right before upgrading to cavs, when otherwise the XP would be lost.

There are a couple of other of these non-sensical promotions around... my advice: simply don't use them.
