counter-unit to tanks

The combat system is based around the use of units and their specific counters ...
for example, to win against an army of War Elephants, you build pikemen. In my last two games i was not sure what to build against an army of Panzers. Is there no unit that gets a combat bonus against armored units?

At the moment, the counter against tanks seem to be more tanks. Did i overlook something?
What do you use to counter tanks?

Definately.... +100% against armour makes them a must have when you're facing a blitz.

Gunships are great pillagers, too. The four movement points means they can move, pillage improvement, pillage road, and move again.

And thanks to Firaxis for make Gunships an upgrade from Cavalry. Nice move, guys. Now, a cavalry army worth its costs all the way long.

Only if the tank user has absolutely no idea how to attack a city.

I agree that cavalry upgrade to gun ship was a nice touch. I always felt sorry for my cavalry as they became obsolete, but not anymore.

Every time I upgrade my first Cav unit to Gunship, I think of the line from Apocalypse Now:
"The First of the Ninth was an old cavalry division that had cashed in its horses for choppers and gone tear-assing around 'Nam lookin' for the s--t."
