Okay, I'm one of SMAC's biggest fans.
Civ 4 is GOOD. It's damn good. Honestly it's everything I expected Civ3 to be before Civ3 was released. Yeah so sure it's a few years late but it's a damn good game.
I have some complaints with AI and automation and things like coal plants remaining in the build queue, but I expect these will be fixed and in a couple of patches CIV will be the greatest civlization ever*!
* Or atleast it would be if it had Punishment Spheres, Nerve Gas and Planet Busters.
